A. Insert the bottom tubes, side with holes facing down, into the outlets of the towers.

B. Position a tower in each corner of the aquarium.

C. Assemble the bottom planks and pegs. Use the pegs to fit the square plates and corner plates together. Attach the side plates to the perimeter of each plate set.

D. After rinsing your gravel, pour into the aquarium. Use enough gravel for at least 2 inches of depth. Pack gravel tightly against the towers to secure their place in the corners of the aquarium.

E. Fill the aquarium with water and plug in the towers.

F. Install the EP-300 power filter on the back of the aquarium. Once the unit is plugged in, submerge the filter media (Clean Magic) in between and to the left of the 2 filter cartridges. If the unit does not immediately begin pumping water, dump a cup of the tank water into the filter to prime it.

G. Add the appropriate amount of Bio Magic and Vita Magic for the water volume of the tank.

H. Use the pair of adjustable check valves included in your kit if you need the Zero Water Change System to operate silently and/or plan to use an air pump. Simply insert a check valve (clear side in, rubber side out) into each airline tube coming out of top of the filter towers. Make sure the air control knob is turned to HI in order to increase oxygen flow to the filter. If you are using an air pump, please read the instructions on the back of the check valve pack.

Review: HI-Q Zero Water Change System

by: Maqo.org

"Overall I can’t express how impressed I am at the operation of this system and how pleased I am that it lived up to it’s billing. I am actually considering leaving this setup for a few more months to see how it fares in the long term, but just considering the results over the first two months I would consider it a success for preventing so many of the problems associated with “new tank syndrome” and the losses that are associated with it. Even if this product were to only serve this purpose I could see it finding a home in this hobby for newcomers or those who want to stock their tanks within a few days of setting them up. "
